Community-driven Biodiversity Conservation & Interated Environmental Education
The project aims to establish a communal database of biodiversity information as an open-source system and service that manages knowledge as a global public good under the patronage of Nelson Mandela and Edward O. Wilson
Designed as a pilot project and pre-cursor to a later medium-sized GEF proposal, the current Project wishes to serve as a critical mass of information. This to test the service and to create the nucleus of a network of individuals, communities and institutions that could become a knowledge-sharing population. this incubator establishment of the Project's tools and services will create the foundation and platform for later upscaling and mainstreaming of the project's participatory knowledge management approach.
