Despite several challenges, including the passage of Hurricane Tomas in 2010 which cause severe damage to the town of Soufriere, this grantee was able to refocus and make changes where necessary to develop an public awareness campaign for the Pitons Management Area World Heritage Site (PMAWHS). Due to the activities undertaken by the group including, sensitization and information workshops, one-on-one sessions with community members, a public awareness fair, the organisation of a public march for PMAWHS and the use of creative arts; the grantee was able to produce the following project results:

1. Some Community member became more knowledgeable and accepting of the Pitons Management World Heritage Status, which was previously viewed by community members as a hindrance to their development due to some of the restrictions that were put in place in the area (i.e. building restrictions).

2. Improved knowledge by some community members about the physical features and boundaries of the PMAWHS. They are also more aware about the environmental issues which impacting the PMAWHS.
