The project aims to create a "Seed Network" which will bring together people related to seeds in Turkey, with a view to find and protect the local seeds that have been selected by farmers for generations all through the country. The seed network will become an important forum for seed-related people to share information and exchange of experiences. It will also be a tool for identifying and conserving local agrobiodiversity and as a powerful advocacy tool regarding the new Seed Law of Turkey, which can have a negative influence on local seed production and sale.
