Remote mountain communities in Albania in absence of tourism rely heavily in ecosystem services one of such is the collection medicinal plant. Frequently the quality of the product is below the standard due to lack of storage and drying / treating facilities. This project will address a community of farmers in the remote village of ?Kala e Dodes? in the construction of a storage facility and cultivating of abandoned lands in the vicinity of the village. It will also transfer know-how in handling the product and provide links with buyers at a fair price.
