Background:

This project is in continuation of SGP project ?Empowerment of SGP Grantees in Knowledge Management and Monitoring, No.IRA/05/03 (51st)? Considering the importance and the need for capacity building for the grantees in areas of stakeholder participation, financial monitoring and knowledge management.

The project activities are:

• Providing training and assistance for individual grantees or in interactive group sessions both for NGOs and for Local Community Members in the areas mentioned in items 2 to 6
  
• Extracting lessons learned, developing articles and photo stories
  
• Assisting SGP grantees in their participatory midterm reviews and final workshops
  
• Financial monitoring and management
  
• Enhancing project lesson learnt booklets in the area of participatory work and method used by each project
  
• Experience sharing in GEF SGP Thematic Groups
  
• Providing material for websites including articles, power points and events
  
  All the above mentioned activities will be in full coordination with SGP office.
