Employment of Organic farming Practices for Sustainable resource Use: Enhancing Honey
Bee Keepers in Dominica have been able to produce pure organic honey untill the adveny of widespread use of agrochemical agricultural inputs which have brought a shrinkage in the inductry. prior to the discovery of the Varoua mite the bee population was thriving in te areas where agricultural practices were mre organic in nature.

The project aims at establishing excellence in honey production by using environmentally friendly practices
A reercher will be employed to review the relevant existing documentation as well as set up systems for testing the viability of intended programmes with the participation of selected bee keepers and farmers.
A major semina will be organized to discuss all pertinent issues and formulate plans for addressing these concerns.
