the Boetica Economic Development and Environmental Conservation Project
The Boetica community is located on the border of the Morne Trois Pitons national Park World heritage Site. It is one of the most impoverished communities in Dominica. As a result of the economic downturn due to the decline of the banana industry.
Efforts are being made to diversify the economic base of the community by capitalizing on the natural assets at Glassi through community tourism. These efforts are spearheaded by the Boetica Village Council. The project includes four components all aimed at improving th elivelihoods of the participants and at the same time promoting environmental conservation.
