Project main purpose: to establish and implement an ecological and sustainable pasture management system in the Remetea village, as a model for other regions facing similar problems.

- To increase the local community?s awareness relating the importance of the ecological and sustainable pasture management
- To make the basic investments requird to solve the existing ecological problems
- To create the integrated pasture management system in Remetea village, Harghita district

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
150 persons (both of Romanian and Hungarian nationality) are involved in the development, and public debate of the Sustainable Management Plan and Grazing Regulation developed within the project. 120 persons attending the meetings organized for project launching and results presentation. 1700 households apply traditional management techniques on their lands.
Policy Influence
A Sustainable Management Plan for 2610 ha of degraded grasslands and Grazing Regulation were developed within the project, and adopted by the local authority.
