Trout Fish Farming and Conservation of Upper Rupingazi River Catchment, Embu
This project aims to supports a Trout Raising Enterprise in the Upper Rupingazi River Catchment where the Fruitful Youth group CBO have committed to also rehabilitate atleast 5km of riparian area with indigenous trees. The group has 30 members drawn from Ngandori Location of Embu. The CBO has been in trout fish farming at a much lower scale and will use the support to upscale their level of production by building more ponds, and undertaking relevant training. They will also rehabilitate the riparian area and adjacent portion of Mt. Kenya forest to keep the water clean and cool.
