Ecotourism in Korynsk Ravine of Jungar Alatau. (Conservation of biodiversity through sustainable use of natural resources, local community involvement into nature-protection and eco-tourism activity by means of ecotourism movement development and establishment of eco-educational centre).
Korinsk Ravine is a unique natural place, being a very important centre where endemic and rare species of flora and fauna are concentrated. At present time a wild non-control tourism prevail on the territory, poaching takes place, and all these factors lead to general extermination of flora and fauna, destruction of the topsoil, herbage degradation, felling, frequent fires, pollution of springs and rivers, litter of the territories. One of the reasons is a poor environmental education, lack of practical environmental knowledge. Besides, local communities are now well aware about the biodiversity of the region, ecotourism topics and rational use of bioresources. Businessmen who have a deal with tourism on the territory invest all the income to their own business development. Local people are not involved into this business, they don?t get any income out of tourism activity, and are not interested in natural resources protection.
