Community Natural lakes conservation and clean water supply for improving community livelihood and welfare project.
This project was fully funded by UNDP TRAC fund thruogh SGP team.
The project aims at protection and conservation of natural resources and contributes to increasing nutrition and food security of poor fishers to live with dignity in a prosperous society through establishing and protecting 3 community conservation areas. This project proposes to establish 3 natural community conservation lakes, aimed at increasing fish stock and the reforestation of 4 ha of flooded forest around those conservation lakes which help to improve the habitat for fish, biodiversity and water birds in Community Fisheries areas. The project also provides education to communities to appreciate and protect environmental resources which could lead to a decrease or end in illegal fishing. In addition, the project empowers women by organizing them into 9 women saving groups (7-10 women each) to participate in the protection and conservation of natural resources and to actively take part in other community activities. Thruogh those women groups will responsible to sell 250 Ceramic Water Purifier to their community members ang group members.

6 community Fisheries members are activitvely participate in all stages of project designed, implementation and project monitoring activities. More than 250 famlies will buy Ceramic water Purifier for family clean water access and redurce time and fire wood use for boiling water.

Project provide a series of training on natural resources managment, fisheries law and related sub-decree on community Fisheies.
