Adding Value to Natural Products
Adding Value to Natural Products
The goal of the project is to establish a production and packaging facility (factory/plant) at Utokota village where the central collection, sorting, pressing, cooling and drying of the products will be conducted and from where the distribution will happen nationwide. Two blocks of building are already available, and will host the operations.

Project Objectives:
?To ensure that all natural resources found in the region are harvested sustainably, processed, packaged and transformed into products that can be sold commercially in shops, supermarkets, both locally and nationally.
?To do research in the possible multiple use of the various wild fruits, vegetables, berries, and roots that are found in the region with the purpose of patenting and commercializing their usage.
?To empower the local communities and people and ensure their economic upliftment, through using the natural resources found in their own area of residence.
?To help commercialize natural traditional resources, package and market them countrywide and also internationally
?To train communities and empower them in the development of alternative modern products and uses for own domestic consumption.
