At Stung Hav, the reservoir was built during Pol Pot regime and stopped function since 1991. The renovated reservoirs are 4.90 ha which expected to provide various benefits which include good road for transportations, traveling, and water storage for vegetable cultivation. Other potential benefit include place for recreation, storing water for selling to road construction compiles, source of water for putting off the fire effecting to people's houses, raising fish for tourism purposes, and serve as main source for underground water for well dinging and watering agricultural crops.

The reservoirs contribute to four villages in Tomnub Rolok commune with 1345 families (2632 direct beneficiaries). There were about 11 families involved with dry season vegetable cultivation and this number will increase to the those villagers nearby (outside the reservoirs)

The total economic return from vegetable cultivation was difficult to estimate due to time constrains. We observed that one family who cultivated water morning glory with 11 nurseries (0.5 m wide x 6 m length) could produce 12.5kg/nursing. The price was 1000 riel/kg or she could earn around 137,500 riel for the period of 25 days. The overall expense was only 80,000 rile. These activities take place from October to May, mostly in dry season. Other households could cultivate the whole year round depending on the level of their land (flood or not flood in wet season).

The major benefit is the contribution to climate change adaptation in the areas both at kampong Cham and Stung Hav, Sihanouk Ville. The reservoir will store water in both seasons so that underground water will be recharges. Villagers will fine is easy to use open well to get waters to supply their livelihoods.
