Development of Jatropha energy farms as substitute energy with the aim of reducing encroachment to the forest reserve for fuel wood
The projects main objective of this project is to promote Jatropha trees seedlings to the Kyomo villagers as fuelwood substitute which will enhance the conservation of Mt. Kilimanjaro Forest and other forests. the use of Jatropha oil will also reduce household expenditure as the jatorpha will be planted mixed with other crops.The CBO which has applied for the grant will developing and promoting the use and planting of Jatropha trees.
