Environmental education, reforestation, breeding of goats, beekeeping, and education and promotion of healthy eating habits in Matutuine district (Mahau and Kuhambe locations) ? a project that aims to intervene on environmental education campaigns at village level, promote planting of shadow trees, nutrient rich and medicinal plants, and establish means for provision of safe drinking water to Mahau-Kuhambe communities; regulatory means for control of bushfires and deforestation will be put in place; the project will also enable provision of income generation activities at household level as a means to improve livelihoods; project impacts will contribute to preservation of the Licuati forest ecosystem and parts of the Maputaland Centre of Endemism.
