Expanding and replicating positive experience on conservation biodiversity by changing the tradition of local inhabitants and raising ecological awareness in Alay region, Osh oblast.
The local population is using pine trees for their daily needs and this is turning into the trend. The pine trees are taken from the local reserves. And these activities are causing a great damage to the pine tree reserves. This massive cutting is not only affecting the pine trees but alse the whole ecosystem around them because in the reserve there are various plants and live creatures that are enlisted in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. These pine tree forests have a strategic importance in preserving the biodiversity in Kyrgyzstan. This project is aiming to preserve the ecology in the indicated regions. There are following activities planned in this region:
1. Constructing 2 factories on making grave fencing.
2. Making a movie by participatory video methodology.
3. Case studies and effectiveness analysis.
4. Organizing educational seminars and trainings.
5. Sharing with the positive experience with other regions of the Kyrgyzstan.
