Demonstration of energy saving technologies introduction on the public objects in Almaty city
Demonstration of energy saving technologies introduction on the public objects in Almaty city
Now climate change is a well-known factor of global scale, and it represents real threat for mankind and nature. The main cause of climate change is continuous growth of concentration of harmful emissions in atmosphere. Almaty is a mega polis with developed industry and complicated infrastructure. Surrounded by the mountains, the city is over flown by motor transport, and it has disturbing ecological situation. Nevertheless, the growing population of the city demands further increases of energy supply consumption, and consequently, also growth of capacities. Almaty has a significant potential for energy efficiency in social implication buildings (from 15 up to 40 %, as power audit and monitoring results has shown).

Project aim:
Introduction and demonstration of new heating system technologies efficiency in constructions with centralized heat supply, in a complex with measures making buildings habitable and installation of modern system of heat energy accounting.

Project tasks:
The project supposes modernization of individual heat points in buildings. The program of modernization includes introduction of heat stream automatic system regulation and maintenance of control over power consumption (power monitoring), windows reconstruction, isolation of power inputs, installation of system of the account of thermal energy, etc.

Project results:
- Decrease of power consumption for 20 % (due to installation of automatic power stream regulation system, decrease of infiltration due to windows reconstruction, installation of energy effective reflecting screens and isolation of power inputs
- Ensuring of intrahouse heat system parameters stability
- Ensuring heat system reliability due to automation of power regulation process
- Increase of heat system operation life due to more reliable power consumption mode
- Decrease of harmful substances emissions to atmosphere
- Demonstration of energy saving measures results: real power savings, improvement of microclimate in buildings, etc
- Raising awareness of energy users in energy efficiency issues
