Demonstration of the soil resources saving technologies which will contribute to pastures degradation process ceasing in conditions of insufficient damping in Central Kazakhstan
Climate aridity of Central Kazakhstan demands sowing of drought resistant crops on hayfields and pastures, especially in summer time, as only such crops could ensure normal conditions for pasturing during the entire pasturable period. The second reason for decreasing pastures productivity is irrational pastures use. Now 90% of the entire cattle breading are individual subsidiary economy and the cattle is pastured round the settlements. As a result, the pastures are degraded. It is observed poor herbage and even bare sports, especially on the cattle moving places and near to the ponds. The vegetative coenosis is sharply changed; Gramineae and some other valuable nutritious grasses have practically disappeared. Output from the situation is improvement of the available pastures and hayfields by replacement of natural herbage with more productive forage crops.
Project aim:
In conditions of scanty damping show possibilities of replacement of natural low productive, degraded pastures? herbage with more productive cultivated forage crops, which can provide animals with quality feed during whole pasturing period
Project tasks:
- Laying of the plot for 220 hectares to demonstrate capabilities of the created cultural haymaking and pastures on the degraded sites with impoverished structure of natural vegetation by means of using minimal and zero technologies,
- Preparation of economic and organizational recommendations on the green conveyor organization (based on the project findings) to guarantee the pasturing during the pastoral period
- Propaganda of the green conveyers? creation in conditions of insufficient damping
Project results:
- Got information on herbage dependence on weather conditions. Showed introduced technologies influence on soil resistance deflationary processes
- Developed schedule of laying green conveyer, which can be replicated in other farms
- Made forage reserve in amount about 200 tones (feeding about 70 items of cattle during whole keeping cattle stalled period)
- Usage of zero-emissions technologies in the time of feed crops cultivation along with solving environmental problems provided fuel saving in 2,8 times, decreasing working hours on 50% and as a result decreased people?s tension in the most important period of sowing

Notable Community Participation
For successful laying and demonstration of the plot, and also for harvesting assistance from local people of Central and Andrennikovka settlements required. Other field works led by Vlad and Dauir farms with attraction of students from the Karaganda State University and pupils of the Central high school. For harvesting the interested inhabitants who have the needed technical equipment will be involved (approximate 314 people).
