Promotion of new energy-saving and educational technologies as one of the methods for climate change prevention
Recent scientific researches have proved that global climate change is progressing. The influence of climatic changes on society and natural resources has already affects on a global scale, and it will be more notable in the future. But despite of plenty of the available information, we can ascertain that the higher school of Kazakhstan can?t keep pace with quickly changes in the modern world and adequately reflect them in educational process. First of all, this concerns ecological aspect of education. There is an obligatory topic ?ECOLOGY? for all specialities of all high schools of Kazakhstan. The typical curriculum on ECOLOGY which regulates the obligatory subject content is published in the beginning of 2000th and does not reflect the last documents and decisions madder on the climate change problems for the period of Y2002-2008. There is an urgent need in addition and change both the speciality typical program and state standard. The previous experience that Bayterek NGO has cooperating with the Ministry of the Environment Protection and Ministry of Education allows foresee the ability for development and submit for considerations the offers on inclusion of the climate change and sustainable development issues as obligatory interdisciplinary themes in high schools of Kazakhstan.
