Initially project should be implemented till the end of 1997 with the 3 years program of ptotection of pond , continuation of works conducted in POL/94/22 by team of experts from various part of Poland (Cracow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Olsztyn, Gorzow Wlkp.).Prarallel mini-grant POL/97/06p for preliminary design of the turtle center was given to Fundacja ?ólwia B?othego (Pond Turtle Foundation).
Team faced personal problems, so finally new manager of the project was selected (Dr Maria Zemanek), 8 travels and meetings were organised to discuss existence of the program, contacts with donors. 1998 and 1999 years were lost for fields work as result of organisational problems, new leadership, neccesity of new organisational framework.Reconstructed team of POL/94/22 with new leader finally continued work (see: POL/00/01 in February 2000 - December 2001 with a new umbrella NGO.
