Project Location: Golestan National(Lat/Long:36.869660;54.530640)
  • Develop a baseline report
  • Select target groups through participatory sessions
  • Empowerment and capacity building of target groups through series of workshops for conservation of their natural resources, with focus on conservation of Leopard in Golestan National Park
  • Meeting with provincial governmental authorities and reaching to a road map for better conservation plans and actions in the Golestan National Park and its associated habitats.
  • Gathering ecotourism data to develop a sustainable ecotourism plan through participation of local communities and government authorities
  • Studying Leopard in Golestan National Park and its ecological needs with in-kind co-funding of Golestan Department of Environment and additional funding from International organizations.
  • Technical support by a group of International consultants ( through in-kind co-funding)
  • Publish newsletter, booklet on projects lessons learned, film and advocacy materials such as brochures, posters and short clips
  • A booklet on Golestan and Golestan National Park
  • A booklet on Leopard and its situation in Golestan province and other parts of Iran.
