PASTURE MANAGEMENT AND ENDEMIC PLANT SPECIES IN MIANEH

Background:
As a local capacity was developed in Bozgoush and an endemic plant type has been identified in the area, the project involves two parts including working on the plant species and also working on rehabilitation of area pasture lands through community honey production. The project will take place in two villages of Kandovan area in Mianeh with cooperation of Mianeh Agricultural Jihad.

Project outputs and activities are:

Empowering the local communities of two villages for protection of pasture land and introducing livelihood activities
? Baseline study and selection of the villages and the stakeholders
? Identification of local farmers activists
? Working with farmers from production to marketing
? Establishing a local development fund from the project locals
? Preparation of a newsletter and PPP with each payment
? Introduction of the new plant species in a paper or/and a booklet
? Production of a short clip on the project
? Print of a small booklet on project results
