Annual SGP Projects meeting will be held in Kusadasi, hosted by EKODOSD. The meeting will bring together grantees from ongoing and completed projects, NSC members and a select group of experts and is aimed at improving the communication and collaboration between projects and capacity building in both BD and CC focal areas. The meeting also includes a field visit to the nearby SGP supported projects.
In Kusadasi, there are two SGP projects complementing each other. The first one aimed at conserving the seeds and seedlings of local fruits and vegetables and to create a market for their products, thereby protecting the agrobiodiversity. The latter one, now is aiming to demonstrate the use of solar power in drying of the raw products from the local seeds, thereby using renewable energy sources in making the products more value-added and improving the income level of the local people.
