The first phase of the Tungu-Kabiri project involved constructing a micro-hydropower facility that takes advantage of a clean, renewable source of energy to supply electricity to a shopping center. This second phase of the project was designed to take advantage of the hydroelectric power to provide a reliable source of water to the Tungu Kabiri Community through the construction of a water supply system. A water supply system was constructed comprising of a water pump, distribution network, and three large storage tanks. In addition, the project installed 100 drip irrigation systems to help promote efficient use of the water supply and a water users association was established to build the community's capacity to manage their water resources and to enhance protection of the nearby watershed.
