The overall goal of the Establishmnet of Community Based Game Guard System in the !Khoro- !Goreb Conservancy is to establish a community based game guard system to conserve and manage biodiversity(mainly wildlife) and natural resources in the conservancy in a way that would promote liveihoods of the current and the future generations through: Establishinhg a gameguard system for effective wildlife and natural resource monitoring and management in the conservancy, strengthen capacity of game guards through capacity building and exchange visits and to strengthen the instituional capacity of game guards through installation of two-way raio communication system in the conservancy.

The !Khoro- !Goreb Conservancy is located in the southern part of the Kunene Region in the North - West of Namibia. The conservancy borders on the Ugab River in the southwest, and shares borders with the Ohungu, Soris- Soris and /Audi Conservancies, commercial farming areas and Khorixas town- lands. The conservancy is part of the Khorixas Constituency. The Conservancy covers an area of 115000 hectares.
