Towards the development of a conservation and management programme for the Ashton/Belmont Salt Pond and Mangrove in Union Isand, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
This Planning Grant will enable the Union Island Museum and Ecological Society to develop a full grant project proposal which will contribute to the protection and conservation of the Ashton Mangrove and Belmont Salt Pond. The planning grant will be used for the following activites: (i) Research; (ii) Meetings with stakeholders; (iii) Planning seminars and workshops; (iv) Preparation of a baseline using photographs and video footage; and (v) drafting the full project prooposal.
