Rainwater Harvesting and conservation of drylands for Maasai communities in Kilindi District
Rainwater Harvesting and conservation of drylands for Maasai communities in Kilindi District
The Maasai steppe of North East Tanzania is a significantly dry environment with an increasingly unpredictable rainfall pattern. Like many such areas, intensification and expansion of these dry condition is being exacerbated by the high and increasing water demands of human activity and improper use and management of dry land topography.

The project main objective is to promote conservation and restoration of semin arid lands in Kibirashi village brought about by uncontrolled and widespread grazing through rainwater harvesting and storage.
