Project Objectives:
1. Maintenance of wild plants developing special economic importance to exploit the way that sustain them
2. Developing the local environment at the economic, cultural and social levels.

Project's Activities
1.Organizing seminars in six allocated areas to create awareness of community as well as students in schools on the importance of preserving wild plants.
2.Printing publications
3.Collection and the definition of wild plants used in folk medicine
4.Cultivation area of land as trial areas to maintain wild plants.

Project Characteristics and Results
Notable Community Participation
40 families in the local community have participated in the project activities,through the collection of the plants and also recultivating them in their natural habitats.
Gender Focus
Noted during the surveys that there is great pressure on a number of natural plants, especially woody species, which are used by rural women as domestic fuel (wood). The project organized a number of seminars, and education courses for rural women in targeted areas on the seriousness of such acts, both their harmful impacts on their health, as well as on the environment and the misuse of natural resources. The project succeeded in raising the awareness of women on the importance of such plant species and clarified their economic benefits.
