Since the project started in 2008, the NGOs made a lot of surveys and researches, which are within the scope of work of the organization, on the coastal areas and the desert nearby. The results of these field surveys determined the executive steps of the work. The project adopted a number of operational steps to ensure the sustainability of the project activities, such as, local community participation in the case study to identify the actual user of the land and natural resources, and also to ensure that they are continuously trained and sensitized to the importance of preserving these resources and optimal use. The NGO succeeded in expanding the target group up to 80 families, with an outline of long-term benefit from the results of analyzing collected data on species, and to add new types of species to be bred or maintained in their natural habitats.

The project is considered a very positive step towards maintaining the plant species in the area, especially with medicinal and economic use of these species, many groups in the local community showed interest in repeating the initiative and producing those species in fields similar to its natural habitats on a large scale.
