Campo – Lolodorf Sustainable Livelihood Pygmy Engagement Project
This micro ?project in the Campo-Lolodorf region aims to promote community engagement and support for sustainable use of forest resources. This will be done by conducting a number of participatory, trust- building ,innovative techniques of data collection (Semi structured interview, priority ranking, focus groups, venn diagramme, and time line ) with the local people of the area to identify local people ?s relationship with natural resources use and wildlife laws and conservation principles.
The analysed data would help to identify community owned attitude to sustainable use of wildlife resources. A number of training would be identified for the local people to build up their capacity for the better management of natural resources. Moreover, with the full participation and collaboration of the local people local development plans for the next 5 years would be produced. Of the micro projects identified, seed funding would be made available to implement pilot micro project (s). Key messages gathered would be disseminated through local media and existing community networks.
