Establishment Microhydro and Forest Conservation in Kepala Telake
PProject Development Goal:
Establishing alternative energy implementation model for post-harvest phase to manage farming and fisheries products in order to increase economical condition. It can also formally adopt by farming and fisheries groups in other area in Paser.

Project Objectives:
1. Establishing one unit of Micro hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) in Kepala Telake with capacity 10 kW.
2. Developing entrepreneurship business for post-harvest management based on economical and ecological aspects. For example: rice mills and non timber forest product processing by benefiting electricity produced (agro processing machine) and aimed to increase communities? income and also to design model for developing eco-tourism.
3. Involving communities in every process for capacity building, and knowledge and experience sharing.

Expected Outputs:
1. Functioning 1 unit PLTMH with advanced technology and producing 10,000 Watt power;
2. Increasing knowledge and capacity of the communities in managing PLTMH and establishing management organization;
3. Establishing at least two type of entrepreneurship business for post-harvest management based on economical and ecological aspects. For example: rice mills and non timber forest product processing to increase communities? income.
4. Creating comprehensive understanding in community level and providing positive contribution for efforts to reduce carbon emission, protection in water catchments area, and biodiversity conservation.

c. Finalizing agreement contract between Yayasan Padi Indonesia with micro hydro provider
3. Construction
a. Planning turbine design in provider?s workshop
b. Constructing and assembling turbine
c. Providing training for two communities representatives regarding turbine mechanism and its operational and maintenance techniques
d. Constructing civil building
e. Attaching turbine
f. Attaching electricity system and transmission network
g. Testing electricity
h. Handing over from developer to communities
4. Developing organization and capacity
a. Developing organization for electricity management
b. Developing organization for community economy
c. Developing organization for community?s forest and water management
d. Developing productive business
5. Disseminating Information and Policy Dialogue
a. Developing documentation materials
b. Policy dialogue
6. Monitoring and Evaluation
