Planting of forest protection belts in Shyrkyn village to combat dry hot winds and retain snow and moisture as an efficient method to reduce climate change risks
Planning Phase
1.The project is planning to organize the working seminar with all the project stakeholders in order to fully determine all the project?s sections, activities, times, implementing parties and budget.
2.The experts will visit the project site to collect the information on the climate change; land conditions assumed for the forest plantation; the current and assumed loads on the lands under the conditions of intensified aridity and land degradation as a result of climate change.
3.The expert will develop the projected aridization scenarios and the schemes focused on the risk reduction, sustainable development of agricultural production and LC?s capacity building.
4.The final and detailed project proposal will be developed jointly with the local community and presented to GEF/SGP.
5.The potential changes in the productivity of agricultural lands within the increased aridity will be accounted by the example of projected scenarios and VRA.
6.The sources of funding for the planning phase will be the GEF/SGP grant and the proposer?s own funds
