Palestinian Environmental Green: A magazine for Palestine
This project is on increasing the understanding and raising the awareness of the general Palestinians and Arab public regarding environmental and development issues through the production of a monthly environmental magazine that serve as platform of discussion for environmental specialists, decision-makers and other parties. The project will be jointly funded by GEF/SGP and Heinrich Boell Foundation. The project will enhance the people's awareness on environmental related issues: climate change and food security, environment and poverty, environment and globalization, land degradation, solid waste management, biodiversity conservation, water pollution, pesticides and organic pollution and sustainable land management. The magazine will have special focus on highlighting GEF/SGP in Occupied Palestinian territory news, publication, case studies and GEF projects implementation. The SGP contribution will be earmarked to the production and printing 22,000 copies of 6 Newspapers Supplements with Al-Ayyam Newspapers.
