Preservation of Palm trees and utilizing palm waste in Fodder production
The project is funded by Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) and GEF/SGP. It will contribute to preservation of Palm trees, increasing the economic value of Palm trees at local level and generate economic benefits for the Palm's farmers. The project will focus on utilizing PALM waste in the production of livestock fodder. Throughout this project a 50 ton of Pal, waste will be utilized in fodder production. The project will also contribute to promoting sustainable agricultural practices though improvement of Palm waste management and use. It will also contribute to increasing the awareness of lock communities especially women community on utilization of palm waste in local industries. The project will provide training for about 50 women from the local community on how to make handicrafts from pal, waste. Thourhgout the project two training workshops will be provided and one guiding brochure will be distributed to local farmers on how to utilize palm waste on fodder production
