The goal of the Project is to rehabilitate degraded soils at the former agricultural territories of Baranovichi district Brest oblast with the purpose of CO2 emission reduction.

Main objectives:
1. To hold the Baranovichi district territory survey and to determine territories that are not in use for agricultural purposes and to prepare and present to Baranovichi district Administration documents necessary for the decision taking on afforestation of particular territories that are not in agricultural use.
2. To plant not less than 200 ha of forest at the determined by Baranovichi district Administration degraded territories (involving into the process of planting students of Baranovichi district schools and further transfer these territories to the Baranovichi Forestry according to the Belarus legislation) with the purpose of CO2 emission reduction by 1200 t. annually.
3. To hold the mass-media campaign and through the local mass-media and publication inform local population on project results on quarterly basis.
