NGO "Chohan" has began its activity with conducting of the Project management Team meeting in order to define the main problems of the local population and strategic plans of development of the project region with involving representatives of local government, local forestry agency, international organizations. To organize a field-protecting shelter belt there were planted more 4 hectare with poplar, maple, elm, and willow. The plant stimulating and protecting scheme was developed and the appropriate calculations have been made. The vitality of the planted saplings was been estimated of 95% owing to the good care after plantations.
Information campaign was one of the project components and carried out through conducting training seminars, round tables, publishing booklets and posters, installation of 2 billboards and 5 informational boards, issuing a newspaper article and shooting video film on project activities.
