Reduction in GHG emissions, enhancement of energy and water resources efficiency and economy by improvement of the heating system in apartment houses - Community of real-estate owners “Mustakillik Ikkinchi Kommunalchi”
The project aims to assist poor population of the apartment blocks to renovate their heating system in order to improve the efficiency of the whole apartment block buildings in the selected district of Tashkent. The result the project is implemented - eliminate the practice of hot water discharge from the heating system of the apartment blocks to the municipal sewage system. This regularly takes place in order to make the heating system work at all due to inefficient and obsolete status of the heating systems. More well-off people can renovate the heating systems within their apartment on their own whereas poor people can not do that thus substantively decreasing the efficiency of the whole heating system of a given apartment block.
The project will eliminate this practice, will investigate the ways how poor population or the managing body of the apartment blocks can seek the ways to self-finance similar interventions in the future and increase awareness about the losses and correlated GHG emissions among the people and municipalities.
