This project will create a holistic planning framework through a particiaptory planning process. It aims to engage the inhabitants of Carricaou in developing a sustainable Geotourism plan with signifincat and sustained community involvement in its implementatio. By the end of the plannin grant phase the following will be accomplished:

(i) Research on the natural and cultural assets;
(ii) Community planning meetings;
(iii) Detailed documentation of the planning process; and
(iv) A completed Full Grant project proposal for funding.

This project has the potential to create a framewrok for planning which is owned and directed by the inhabitants of Carriacou and then use the planning results to attract funding for sustainable development projects.
