The project that aims to develop actions towards reduction of land degradation along slopes used by illegal mine workers; it will also promote cultivation of cashew trees for income generation, will build a water reservoir from the region main river to be used to boost farming activities, will promote resource user groups and collaborative management committees; one of the major project outcomes will be to secure maintenance of ecosystem services, preserve biodiversity and agro-forest systems, while rehabilitating degraded soils and pastureland.
