This project aims to mitigate sources of land based pollution contributing to preservation of international waters, avoiding land degradation and promoting conservation of biodiversity. It will consolidate establishment of improved sanitation around Xai-Xai Municipality. The project site is located by the margins of Limpopo River in Inhamissa and Marien N?Gouabi villages of City of Xai-Xai. Additionally Kuvumbana will raise awareness to community villagers on issues like water conservation, sanitation, mitigation of surface and groundwater pollution by organic wastes, prevention of diseases like malaria and cholera caused by land degradation. The project will contribute in the protection of lake, riverine, and coastal species that exist within the project area.
