The project is the continuation of its first phase, in which over 600 local varieties of local fruits have been identified. While the genetic analysis of the varieties to ascertain their (if) genetic differences, in the meantime, efforts are being put to identify those with better market success possibility to convert them to livelihood opportunities. The project on the other hand, is also trying to conserve the varieties of non-commercial value, identifying, cataloguing and creating "living" herbariums for them.
