The Reversion of Land Fertility Decline and Rehabilitation of Critical Land in Ngablak, Mount Merbabu Area
Project Development Goals:
1. Increasing farmers awarenees in land cultivation management
2. Increasing biodiversity natural resources management in the slope of Mt. Merbabu
Expected Outputs:
1. Shifting atittude of Ngblak Village farmer from chemical farming to environmentally-friendly farming;
2. Utilizing livestock dung by community, both in form of compost and biogas;
3. Developing biogas energy to fulfill energy needs of Ngablak Village community;
4. Rehabilitating forest in the slope of Mt. Merbabu
Activities to be conducted:
1. Building awareness among community in utilizing organic fertilizer
2. Conducting organic fertilizer production through biogas technology
3. Training on land cultivation
4. Building awareness among community regarding the importance of biodiversity in the slope of Mt. Merbabu:
a. Training ecosystem and land structure to community
b. Cultivating land by planting it with plants with additional benefit for communities
c. Using manure for fertilizer
d. Training to optimally use land to support economical condition of community
5. Tree planting in the slope of Mt. Merbabu
Project Participants and/or beneficiaries:
Direct : Harum Sari and Mekar Sari Farmer Groups
Indirect : Community in Sowanan, Bandongan Wetan, and Krangean Hamlets
