GHGs abatement through demonstration of biogas technology at the Urgench University practice center
The project plans to test a small-scale biogas installation with a peculiar feature of keeping the gas in old tractor tires. The project will construct the biogas plant on the Urgench University filed station that is also being prepared to be functioning as an extension service center for farmers of Khorezm province. Availability of opportunity to learn about biogas use along with other examples of sustainable agriculture will increase chances of distributing the technologies among farmers. The project will abolish emission of CH4 and CO2 from using 4 tons of wood fuel and fermentation of more than 400 tons of manure annually.
