Capacity Building Training project for NGO and CBO
Capacity Building Training project for NGO and CBO
Inadequate planning is one of the main reasons why projects fail. Recognizing this fact, ADA will be offering a course in capacity building in project management, namely, ?Basic Proposal writing,? a short course (16 hours). The course is based on the workbook: Capacity Building for Project Cycle Management I ? Basic Proposal Writing.

The course will offer an approach and tools to help plan and design quality projects and prepare "sound" project requests for submission to funding agencies. The short course will focus on project planning and design within the larger context of the full project cycle, namely planning, implementation and evaluation.

Students participating in the short courses will be provided with a workbook which aims at being a toolkit for project planners. The aim will be to provide clear and systematic tools for various project analyses and participatory planning processes in order to enable the creative use of the most important planning tool ? common sense. The procedures in the workbook is not intended to be followed mechanically and even when the procedures presented in the guidelines are used, they have to be tailored to the needs of the project in question. Depending on the project, only some of the proposed steps may be relevant.
