Conservation of Biodiversity by Establishing a Center for Biodiversity Products in the Community of Moqarmadi (Kadmous)
The project aims to make a center for developing biodiversity products in the region of Kadmous (Tartous). The role of this center is:
-To list and to identify edible, aromatic and medicinal plants in the region and to assess the human pressure on these plants
-To sensitize people about the threats that these plants undergo by exposing (fresh, dry, cooked) samples of these plants in the center and help the local communities to plant them.
-To revitalize many traditional crafts and to make the center a training place for people (especially women) to do these activities and expose the products in it.
-This center could be a useful place for increasing the awareness of the local communities, NGOs and students and products can be sold in it.
