Conservation and Utilization of Medicinal Plant As Tourist Attraction and As Community Alternative Livelihood in Sidomulyo Village
Ecological Threat:
1. The loss of species of medicinal plant that can be used by community as alternative medical treatment in their village
2. Lack of documentation of species of existed medicinal plant in Sidomulyo Village
3. Lack of community knowledge regarding sustainable management
Project Development Goal:
Establishing Sidomulyo Village as Sustainable Tourism Village
Project Development Objective:
Increased community income of Sidomulyo Village through the development of medicinal plant cultivation
Expected Outputs:
1. Planted yard and garden area with medicinal and productive plant
2. Increased community knowledge regarding seedling and planting of medicinal plant
3. Increased community knowledge in medicinal plant benefit and peculiarity
4. Purchased brown sugar and medicinal plant by tourist and retail stores
5. Composed and printed guideline book of medicinal plant for tour guide
6. Produced organic compost fertilizer
7. Produced souvenirs from the utilization of plastic waste and local materials
8. Existed manure-based briquette utilization as alternative energy for the community
Activities to be Conducted:
1. Conducting identification and planting of medicinal plant in member?s yard and garden;
2. Conducting training on meidicinal plant meicininal plant technical process (seedling, nursing, etc);
3. Producing and packaging brown sugar and medicinal plant;
4. Composing and Printing guidline book for herbal tourism of Sidomulyo;
5. Conducting training on composting from organic waste and manure-based briquette;
6. Conducting composting from organic waste;
7. Conducting briqette production;
8. Developing souvenirs from plastic waste and local materials
