HOUBAREH BUSTARD IN DARAB FARS PROJECT (PHASE II)
IN COLABORATION WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND DOE

Project background:
The SGP project IRA-G52-2003-033 (IRA98G52) for diminishing the root causes to the threat to Houbareh Bustard in Darab Fars has achieved increase in the numbers of Hubareh Bustard and has developed active community organizations for both men and women. Deputy of Department of Environment (DOE) after being convinced of the results has provided a support letter and has accepted to provide parallel funding to the 2nd Phase of the project, following the results of the first phase.
Phase 2 project activities with SGP funding:
? Phase 2 baseline added to project booklet and to be printed for dissemination-$1000
? Fund for volunteer game guards formed under phase 1 for preservation of Houbareh Bustard- $5000
? Translation of documentations produced in the project- $600
? Travel, administration expenses and equipment- $1200
? Workshops and M&E- $600
? Developing documentation, newsletters, PPPs and final booklet- $1600
