Providing Clean Lighting, Efficient Charcoal Production Method for Inhabitants in Bokay's Town, Grand Bassa County
The objective project is to provide efficient lighting, superior charcoal production method and improved cook stoves for rural households, in an affordable and environmentally sound and sustainable manner.
The specific objectives are as follows
1.1 To provide 5 solar home systems and 60 locally assembled Taa Bora' ( solar light) for lighting, to the communities
1.2 To provide one klin for charcoal production in Bokay's Town for the communities.
1.3 To provide 65 cook stoves, three types of 20 ecah to the selected households in the communities

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions begining in 2004 with community and stakeholders representatives. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of consultation process. The CSET and the locals have been discussion for CSET to undertake such activity in the area. The NC conducted a stakeholders consultation with view of identy livelihood issues.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity builing based an personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integrat facet of what is planned.
