Short Documentaries of SGP thematics; Challenges & lessons

Project background:
So far over 150 projects have been assisted by the GEF-SGP initiative and many of these projects have been development landmarks in local and national scales. Still the lessons learned through these projects and the associated activities and processes have not been systematically synthesized, documented and spread in an integrated and comprehensive manner. This project has as its objective the production of a series of documentaries about these projects which will help the propagation of the lessons learned to a larger audience that can use them in a broader context and together improve the state of sustainability and development in the country and beyond.
The project activities are:
? Extracting the lessons and challenges through project documentations including progress reports and the final reports of the projects and the draft fact sheets
? Once a week coordination meeting with SGP team
? Visiting project midterm and final workshops
? Selecting interview candidates and conducting the group/individual interviews,br>
? Liaising with SGP fact sheet, photo story team and thematic projects grantees
? All rushes and films belong mutually to SGP and the grantee with excellent quality
The project outputs are:
? A 30 to 40 minutes documentary by Mr. Varahram on extraction of natural farming techniques and traditional knowledge in date gardens of bam for policy dialogue on aerial pesticide spray which has resumed
? 5 documentary movies each up to 10 minutes long and about one of five GEF/SGP project (thematic) clusters. These movies will be made in Farsi with English subtitles
? One documentary movie on the GEF/SGP projects in Iran as a whole that adopts a broader and more comprehensive view on the initiative and its results in the country as far as efficiency, cost effectiveness, relevance, sustainability, capacity building and gender aspects and an overall comparison with government and larger projects. This movie will be up to 35 minutes long and will be made in Farsi (with English subtitles if additional funds can be raised).
? One documentary movie that squeezes all the materials from other above-mentioned movies into one and therefore presents a resume of the GEF/SGP initiative and projects within the country. This movie will be up to 15 minutes long and will be made in English
