The green commune - measures to mitigate the causes of climate change
The project aims to promote and implement affordable technologies to improve energy efficiency in public buildilngs, produce and use biofuels while contributing to the restoration of degraded soils in the community of Brebeni. The project will be concerned in thermal rehabilitation of buildings, setting up a plantation of Energo willow (in an area of high erosion and gliding risk) to be further processed and used as alternative fuel, with offals turned into bio-fertiliser.

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
80 locals are involved in public awareness campaigns, 200 persons participate in the practical activities (establishment and maintenance of willow plantation), 1000 persons participate in the information activities.
Notable Community Participation
The community from Brebeni, two NGOs, one school and one kindergarten, and Brebeni Mayoralty are participating and co-financing the project.
