Planning Grant for Developing Proposals for Priority Protected Areas
The main objective of this Writeshop is to produce proposals that will qualify within SGP?s criteria for support to biodiversity conservation projects.
Specifically, the event aims to:
1. Provide the NGOs, POs and CBOs in identified sites an appreciation of the importance of biodiversity in their particular areas and how they can help address the issues
2. Orient the NGOs, POs and CBOs, including key constituents of DENR PAWB and FASPO in identified biodiversity sites on the SGP priorities and the process for projects support
3. Prepare concrete proposals of community projects for funding by SGP
The workshop will be organized jointly by FPE and DENR PAWB/FASPO.
The main activity in the workshop is the presentation of project proposals (or project concept at the least) for discussion, development and finalization as ready for acceptance in the SGP funding process. Participants should be prepared with an identified biodiversity case or issue in their respective areas to be developed for a project proposal. The membes of the SGP Project Review Committee will assist in screening and evaluating the presented proposals according to SGP project requirements.
